7. What's the catch?

1) Doesn't the golf mat wear out quickly? DivotHit™ golf mats actually last longer than other golf mats, including full size golf mats because there is no violent impact between the clubface and the golf mat. While other golf mats remain stationary causing every shot to rip & tear at the surface, DivotHit™ golf mats move forward with the club upon the slightest contact so there is no grabbing damage on the hitting surface. Since nothing is holding the divot piece to the club, it simply releases from the clubface so there is no wear caused by continued usage. Some of our demos have over 35,000 shots on them and they still look new!
2) How strong are the bungee cords? DivotHit™ golf mats are made with industrial bungee cord for a long lasting golf mat. They have a 2 to 1 stretch ratio that means they can expand forward 2 feet before even approaching their maximum elasticity. Since the club is not fastened to the golf mat, the bungee cords are stretched only slightly before the golf mat releases from the upward moving club. The average motion of the divot piece is 1/4" - 2" with good ball contact, 3" - 4" in a fat shot. Therefore, the cords are minimally stretched considering their potential range of elasticity. They last for years under these conditions. How confident are we? In the extremely rare case that the bungee breaks (none to date), we will replace it free (for the life of your golf mat). Just return your Divothit™ golf mat with a self addressed envelope and we'll promptly replace the bungee cord and return it, no charge.
3) How can the golf mat remain in place using only golf tees to fasten it? Do I have to reposition it every couple of shots? DivotHit™ golf mats remain in position for 100's of shots without being refastened! This is achieved by the patented construction of two pieces which utilizes two sets of tees: 1) to hold the anchor piece that is independent of 2) the bungee cord.
4) How can I hit it, range golf mats are 4' X 4'? DivotHit™ golf mats are the optimum size golf mat. They are wide enough to support a golf ball with easy positioning of the next ball for continuous shots. Also, each mat is 12" long which provides 6"-10" of extra area in case of mishits, yet is small enough to fit in your golf bag or pocket to ensure convenience. A golf ball is much smaller, if your not hitting the mat you can't be hitting the ball!
5) Why should I bother with this, the range golf mats are right there, I bang away and go home, what could be better? DivotHit™ golf mats promote good ball contact & fat hits = fat shots. It reacts & feels like real turf allowing you to groove a golf swing that's effective on the course. You reinforce hitting the ball first as you hit under & accelerate through the ball, taking a divot after the ball. Too often golfers practice at the range only to find they can't repeat their performance on the course. That's because range golf mats bounce your club and you tend to decelerate on impact or scoop the ball for fear of injury. Or, you hit off a brush golf mat which allows you to contact the golf mat anywhere behind the ball (even 6") as long as you continue swinging through, you make ball contact. Natural grass doesn't react this way! You get on the golf course and start chunking the ball.
6) Where can I use it? My range's grass area is hardpan dirt. DivotHit™ golf mats can be used anywhere. It's small enough to carry in your golf bag so you have it when any opportunity arises. Hardpan dirt is perfect. Use it in your backyard to practice the important short game. Encourage your range to provide an area you can hit from, you'll probably sneak onto some grass anyway.
